Niger Delta Supreme Egbesu Freedom Fighters in coalition with other ex-militant groups agitating for the development of the region, have thrown their weight behind the re-election of the member representing Bomadi Patani federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Mr Nicholas Mutu to enable him consolidate on his achievements which span beyond his constituency and for his firm contributions to the development of the long neglected region.
The group, at an enlarged meeting in Warri, Delta State to appraise the political climate ahead of the 2019 general election, endorsed Mutu for another term for the Bomadi Patani federal constituency seat, following what it said was his leadership qualities that had earned him several local and international awards as the most outstanding lawmaker in the Niger Delta region.
Leader of the group, ‘General’ Oruware, noted that the decision to support the re-election of Mutu’s return to the House of Reps was borne out of the genuine desire of ex-agitators in the Niger Delta to support the aspiration of those who have promoted the development and cause of the growth and development of the region which he said Mutu had consistently done as Chairman House Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC.
