…I’ll Unbundle NNPC Politically-Tambuwa

ASABA-PRESIDENT of the Nigeria Senate and presidential aspirant under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dr Bukola Saraki, Tuesday said he has the capacity to turn the fortune of the country around, urging Nigerians to give him the opportunity to serve as president in 2019.
Saraki who spoke in Asaba while addressing delegates of the party ahead of the PDP convention, urged Nigerians to vote for a President with the youthfulness capacity and political sagacity to make the country work.
Saying it was high time to turn the fortunes of the country’s economy around, he said Nigerian youths needed to be positively impacted.
Insisting that Nigeria needs a dedicated, focused, vibrant and capable president with the energy to deliver, he held that Nigeria cannot afford to have bad representation.
Saraki said; “Where the country is today, distinguished delegates, we cannot afford to vote on sentiment. It is time for us to have a President that will stand for us, there is a new order in the world today, the ‘Asian Tigers’ got there because they have visionary leaders”.
Similarly, Governor of Sokoto State and Presidential aspirant of the People’s Democratic Party, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal, yesterday promised to politically unbundle the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC if elected as Nigeria’s president in 3019.
Tambuwa who also in Asaba to solicit for votes of PDP delegates in Delta, said that the NNPC needed to be politically unburdened to ensure its effectiveness at a lesser cost.
He said; “Nigeria needs a good leader who understands the complexity of our country . A leadership that has a good knowledge and understands the concept of our various diversity and that which is devoid of nepotism no matter the religion and tribe.
“I believe in federalism and that we should review the structure of Nigeria that will make sure there is efficiency and effectiveness at a later cost.
“We would carry everybody in every part of Nigeria along. My government is that which would care for the weak, the women. We shall ensure that we have robust business and ensure that our entrepreneurs are developed”.
