IBADAN— GOVERNOR Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State, yesterday, reiterated his administration’s commitment and determination to ensuring that all projects embarked on by his government were completed before leaving the office in 2019.
The governor said this while speaking with the news after his inspection visit to the amended proposed prototype Paediatrics and Maternity Centre, Jericho, Ibadan, under construction by the state government.
Ajimobi said: “I am not a lazy governor, who will sit and relax doing nothing just because the tenure remains one year. I was elected as governor to serve for eight years and not for seven years and I will work till the end of my tenure.”
He, however, hinted that the Paediatrics/Maternity Center would be completed within six months alongside other projects embarked on by the state government.
He said: “We believe we should have an integrated health service delivery centre where we can give a Tuberculosis Centre, Maternal and Paediatrics Centre. We want to make this another UCH where everything will be integrated.”
