Innocent ‘2baba’ Idibia has continued to promote the protest against government policies in spite of a warning by the police not to proceed with the action.
Fatai Owoseni, the commissioner of police in Lagos, had said the force will not allow the protest to hold
because hoodlums were planning to hijack it.
“Information reaching us revealed that some hoodlums are planning to hijack the peaceful protest. And as such, we won’t allow it to hold in Lagos. We know that Tuface do not have the capacity to contain such a crowd and we will not fold our hands and watch while things go out of hand,” he had said.
Apparently unperturbed by the warning and the general furore already generated by the February 6 protest, 2baba (2face) has continued to share promotional materials of the event.
“Listen 2 the people and work for Nigeria,” he wrote on Thursday.
“I’m talking to all political leaders – APC, PDP ETC. This is a call for everyone to put politics aside and listen to the people for the benefit of Nigeria.”
This morning, he shared details of the take-off venues in Abuja and Lagos, the logo and theme: One Voice Nigeria.
The protest is supported by 2face Foundation and Enough is Enough (EiE) Nigeria.
