Eight-seven point five per cent of the ninth Oyo House of Assembly will be made up of newcomers, as only four out the 32-member assembly had once had legislative experience at the state level.
The four returning members are Honourable Wumi Oladeji of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) and Honourable Adebo Ogundoyin of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who are current members of the Assembly, while Oyeleke Adebola and Ashimiyu Alarape both of the All Progressives Congress (APC) had once been members of the Assembly.
Recall that, as announced by state Resident Electoral Officer (REC), Mr Mutiu Agboke, the 32-member elect comprises 26 of the PDP, now to form the majority; while APC with five members and ADP with one member will form the minority.
The list of new members include, Yusuf Adebisi, Ibadan South West; Femi Okeyoyin, Saki West; Adebayo Babajide, Ibadan North II; Kehinde Olatunde, Akinyele II; Adewunmi Lateef, Oorelope; Onaolapo Sanjo, Ogbomoso South; Olajide Akintunde, Lagelu; Rasak Ademola, Ibadan South East 1; Adedibu Hakeem, Iwajowa; Adeola Bamidele, Iseyin/Itesiwaju; Mustapha Akeem, Kajola; Popoola Ademola, Ibadan South East II; Owolabi Olusola, Ibadan North East II; Olagoke Olamide, Ibadan North East 1; Fatokun Ayotunde, Irepo/Olorunsogo; Fadeyi Abiodun, Ona Ara.
Others are Babalola Olasunkanmi, Egbeda; Ojedokun Peter, Ibarapa North/Central; Saminu Riliwan, Saki East Atisbo; Fatokun Ayotunde, Akinyele I; Akeem Obadara, Ibadan North West; Oyekunle Fola, Ibadan North 1; Mobaje Razak, Ido; Oluwafemi Fowokannu, Ibadan South West 2; Francis Adetunji , Oluyole; Seyi Adisa, Afijio; Isiaka Kazeem, Oyo East/Oyo West; and Bamigboye Jacob, Oriire.
