THE presidential candidate of the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN), Mr Fela Durotoye, has expressed the hope that a new Nigeria will soon emerge that will give everyone hope, peace and joy.
In his Christmas/New Year message to Nigerians, Durotoye said he knew that many people were going through tough times but whatever the situation was, he wanted Nigerians to understand that “there is hope in the new Nigeria that is coming where everyone will have hope, peace and joy.”
He argued that the current situation in the country was redeemable if the right leadership was put in place that would put the interest of the nation above selfish interest.
The presidential hopeful added that what had been lacking in Nigeria was good leadership.
“If the right leaders get there through the right channel, they will command the right followership among the populace and the people will be ready to follow the example of the leadership,” Durotoye said.
Durotoye, a product of Moremi High School and Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, was voted this year as the 30th most reputable African person in a poll conducted by Global Reputation, a reputation management consulting company.
