Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, Muhammad Musa Bello, has called on residents and the global tourism and investment community to explore the city’s blooming economic green fields climate to invest in it this year.

He stated this in his 2019 New Year message to residents, local and international businessmen who are interested in growing their businesses by taking advantage of available opportunities in the FCT.

Bello made the call yesterday in Abuja in his good will message to the World Cities Tourism Federation in Beijing, describing Abuja as the wise choice in business and tourism in the New Year.

Citing the progress recorded in infrastructure, rail mass transit, and new Airport terminal, the Minister declared that Abuja today has become a potential mining field for investment and tourism.

He expressed appreciation to residents for their support and partnership towards his administration’s achievements last year and appealed for their continued support for the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration in its resolve to take Nigeria to the next Level.

“We also convey our sincere appreciation to all residents for their partnership and sacrifice in all we accomplished last year, including city infrastructure and utilities, rail mass transport, satellite towns infrastructure and rural roads, health, education and others, all of which were achieved under President Buhari.

“Your efforts and hard work have made the Abuja dream a reality. Today, Abuja has become a leading investment, conference and tourism destination in West Africa,” he stated.

Bello stressed that Abuja’s strategic location in the heart of Nigeria and indeed, the heart of Africa and its rich hospitality culture and beautiful cityscape, has made Abuja the wise choice for business.

He paid tribute to the founding fathers of the FCT, saying Abuja has exceeded older states of the federation as the preferred tourism and investments destination.

He expressed hopes that his administration would continue to strive towards placing Abuja among the 20 best cities in the world in the near future.
