The Director-General, Abuja Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), Tonia Shoyele has revealed that over 1,500 exhibitors and one million visitors would participate in the 2018 Abuja International Trade Fair.

She said not less than 3,000 exhibitors and 20 million visitors had participated in trade fairs organised by the chambers in the last 12 years. Shoyele said given this high level of acceptance and interest, the 2018 trade fair slated for September 26 to October 7, 2018 in Abuja, would once again provide a platform for sharing of trade, investment and market opportunities, information that would assist buyers, sellers, investors and countries to foster business relationships.

She stated that the trade fair is an established multi-sectorial trade event that has grown in scope and strength, as one of the biggest trade platforms for international and domestic exhibitors aimed at promoting new products lines, access new markets, build new business relationship and showcase new products.

She explained that the theme for the 2018 fair: “Enhancing SMES in Agribusiness through Innovative Technology” was apt, as it is in line with government’s diversification plans through agriculture.
