YOLA—Adamawa State House of Assembly, after resuming from six week recess yesterday, summoned three key top government officials to appear before it today to clarify issues concerning their ministries and establishments.

Those invited are Deputy Governor, Martins Babale, who also oversees the Ministry of Special Duties; Commissioner for Finance, Sali Yunusa, and Secretary to the State Government, SSG,Dr. Umar Bind-ir.
Babale was summoned in connection with security in the state and the role of the ministry in the distribution of funds and relief materials meant for displaced persons in the state.
The House at plenary noted that relief materials were being sold in open markets in the state.
It also wants the ministry to clarify measures being adopted by the state government in collaboration with the security agencies to halt killings in the state.
The Commissioner, Mr. Yunusi, is being invited to give account of the active and dormant state accounts as well as revenue accruing to the state between January and July, while the SSG is being summoned to clarify the circumstances surrounding the N6 billion multi-sectoral World Bank grant to the state government.
