IN Anambra, the two major contending political parties in the just concluded Ekiti State gubernatorial election have continued to trade words over the outcome of the exercise.
The controversy played out yesterday, when our correspondent sample the reaction of the just concluded Ekiti governorship election from the State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Ndubuisi Nwobu and an All Progressives Congress, APC, Chieftain, Hon. Ike Chidolue in their state chapters respectively.
Chief Nwobu in his reaction discredited the 2018 Ekiti State governorship Election result as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, even as the election was adjudged free and fair by the All Progressives Congress chieftains and some other Nigerians and observers.
He alleged that election results were not pasted at the various polling units as specified by the Electoral Act, adding that the Media were not allowed to televise the result as voting were being concluded at the polling units.

Chief Nwobu also alleged that the All Progressives Congress used monetary inducements to woo voters and deny people their free conscience to vote.
In his own submission, an All Progressives Congress chieftain, Hon. Chidolue opined that the election in Ekiti State was free and fair and devoid of any fraudulent activity as the peoples’ vote counted.
He went further to say that adequate security put in place ensured an election devoid of violence and other electoral malpractices as those who monitored the election attested to its free and fair nature.
A political analyst, Mr Fagorson who frowned on the outcome of the election, concluded that there were disparities in figures during the final collation of results as those received from the polling units did not tally with those announced at the collation centres.
