A presidential aspirant of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC,  Chief Charles Udo Udeogaranya yesterday insisted that the party needs rebranding which he said will lead to a better nation.

Speaking with Vanguard, Udeogaranya said, “Since the inception of my bid to lead Nigeria to a better nation, I have never ceased to point to the direction that in my considered opinion would lead to a better nation.

“This is not by accident but rather, a total sum of commitment that life itself would be meaningless if we fail to add value individually  and collectively towards making our society a better place than we met it.

“As a protegee of Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe GCFR, the first citizen to have his country’s constitution dedicate a whole chapter to his name “AZIKIWE” and first Nigerian politician known to me that never served under a military government due to his belief in democracy, I have been guided to show the light and I hope that  as my party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, leaders meet this week to make decisions, they should listen to the voices of Nigerians and do the following: Rebrand the party from an organization that worship leaders to an organization  that seeks to serve all Nigerians with fairness and with full respect to their constitutional rights.

“The party needs to tender an apology to defectors and urge them to return to the party but wish them well if they decide otherwise without bitterness and rancour.

“The party needs to give opportunities to their young aspirants in various positions and carry them along in governance even if they fail in their bids.

“The party needs to promote participation “Olympian spirit” through drastic reduction of nomination fees as it will encourage popularity and manage the post-primaries outcome effectively.

“The party also needs to focus on their rejected stone “The Ndigbo of Nigeria” as any government that sidelines them would not be able to make any meaningful  progress on the economy .”
