Ativo Limited has said it is set to introduce a crowdfunding platform, called Quickraiz, into the Nigerian fundraising market with the best technology and security architecture.

According to a statement, Quickraiz is a crowdfunding platform created to establish a marketplace where genuine causes meet benevolence of individuals and corporate bodies both in Nigeria and in the diaspora.

It said the platform could be used for emergency/disaster support, medical funding, political fundraising, alumni association contribution, religious institutions fundraising, group gifting, sport funding, among others.

The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Quickraiz, Mr Bayo Adeokun, at a press conference to announce the platform and its operational features, noted that the communal culture in Africa and Nigeria cut across tribes and religion lines but remained informal and limited.

He stated that Quickraiz was partnering a technology firm, Interswitch, and an array of financial institutions to provide a seamless experience, describing the platform as the first in Nigeria to accept donations on its platform, at zero cost, to donors.

Adeokun said, “Quickraiz is committed to lead the market by setting a new standard and consistently delivering sustainable innovative interventions that create economic development.

“We are set to transform this culture into a digital environment where benevolence reach is extensive and all-encompassing.”

The Head, Sales and Marketing, Quickraiz, Mr Remi Jibodu, explained that the platform came at a period when the market was ripe, owing to the geometrical increase in mobile and Internet penetration in Nigeria, at 81 per cent and 54 per cent respectively.
