After launching the acting career of Nigerian diva, Chidinma, prolific cinematographer and filmmaker Kunle Afolayan is set to the same with fan-favourite, Simi.
The excited singer shared the news of her acting debut via Instagram over the weekend with a video that finds her holding a script while in the company of the Mr. Afolayan.
The soon-to-come movie titled, Mokalik – an adaptation of the word, Mechanic has been revealed to be a story centered around the life of an 11-year-old boy from the middle-class suburbs who spends the day as a lowly apprentice at a mechanic workshop in order to view life from the other side of the tracks.
The singer who has already shown her excitement about the film is likely to be a key character, speculated to go by her real name, Simi.
