Bauchi State gets new police commissioner

IN an effort to ensure adequate security measures for the 2019 general elections, a new Police Commissioner has been posted to Bauchi State by the Police authorities.

A press statement signed and issued by the Command PPRO, DSP Kamal Datti Abubakar contained that the new Commissioner of Police is in the person of CP Ali Aji Janga.

The statement further contained that he was posted to the State and has assumed on the 08/01/2019 as he took over from the former Commissioner of Police, CP Sanusi Nma Lemu, psc who has proceeded on a Senior Executive Course at National Institute For Policy And Strategic Studies (NIPPS), Kuru, Jos.

The PPRO described the new Police Commissioner as, “A season Police Officer with vast experience in policing both within and outside the country, he hails from Borno State. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Law from University of Maiduguri and joined the Nigeria Police Force as Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police on 3rd March, 1990”.

The statement further contained that “Since then, he has occupied various positions and posts both within and outside the country. His last posting was Commissioner of Police in charge of Kogi State Command”.

Kamal Datti Abubakar while wishing the former Police Commissioner well while at NIPSS called on officers and men to cooperate and support the new Commissioner as he gives the State Command effective and modern policing.
