
Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, on Saturday, stormed Delta State, as he held a strategic meeting with the Governor of the State, Ifeanyi Okowa, behind closed-door, at the Government House, Asaba.
This is the first time Saraki will be visiting Okowa, his former colleague, at the Government House, since his defection from the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Saraki who arrived unannounced, was received by the Governor and the State Chairman of the PDP, Olorogun Kingsley Esiso.
It was garthered that the meeting is connected with his rumoured Presidential ambition in 2019, on the platform of the PDP.
The Senate President had since his defection to the PDP, consulted prominent Leaders in the country, including former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, and a former Military President, Ibrahim Babangida.
The meeting was still ongoing, at the time of filing in this report.
