ABUJA – Following their confirmation by the Senate, President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Mr. Anthony Okechukwu Ojukwu as Executive Secretary, National Human Rights Commission, for an initial term of five years, and Mr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa as a Non-Executive Director,
Niger Delta Development Commission for an initial term of four years.

This was contained in a late Thursday statement by the Permanent Secretary, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Olusegun A. Adekunle.

Other appointments are those of Hon. Chika Ama, Nwauwa as Non-Executive Director, Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC for an initial term of four years; Mr. Nwogu N. Nwogu as a Non-Executive Director, Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, also for an initial term of four years.

Equally appointed is Prof. James Momoh, as Chairman, Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC for an initial term of five years.

The appointments take immediate effect.
