Buhari mourns Dafinone, Okogwu

President Muhammadu Buhari  has expressed sadness over the death of Second Republic legislator who represented Bendel South, of the old Bendel State, David Dafinone.

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, in his message of condolences to the Dafinone family and commiserations with the government and people of Delta State, President Buhari noted that the late Senator lived a life of service to God, and the nation.

The President, who also commiserated with his business associates and friends, also commended the senator’s disposition to serve the Federal Government whenever he was called upon, while always promoting democratic values and culture among his people.

He said President Buhari prayed that the almighty God will receive the soul of the departed, and comfort his family.

In a related development, President Buhari has joined the business community in mourning the passing of renowned entrepreneur and philanthropist, Ojise of Asaba, Chief Sunny Okogwu.

In his message of condolences to family and friends of Ojise of Asaba, the President noted the late business mogul loved and cared for the poor and downtrodden remains historical, especially in Kaduna, where he spent most of his life.

He urged Nigerians to imbibed Okogwu detribalised and cosmopolitan outlook, who also developed strong and meaningful relationships outside his roots, and graciously invested in the transformation of many lives.

President Buhari expresses belief that Okogwu’s business acumen also reflected in his large-heartedness as he contributed generously to the development of communities across the country.

The President prayed that Chief Okogwu would find eternal rest in the bosom of the Lord, urging his family to carry on with the legacies of the iconic businessman.
