..Urges South West APC leaders to ensure victory of Fayemi

ABUJA – PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari Wednesday night told leaders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ekiti state to bury their hatctets and do everything possible to win Ekiti state governorship election come July 14.

This is as the pioneer Chairman of the APC, Chief Bisi Akande has said that a minor mistake caused the APC the governorship position in 2014 and that the party was ready to take back the state in the forthcoming elections.

President Buhari who held a dinner for the APC bigwigs from the South West at the presidential villa, Abuja.told them to see the governorship election as a pointer to the 2019 elections.

Among them where former governor of Lagos State and leader of the APC Chief Bola Tinubu, Chief Bisi Akande, governorship flagbearer of the APC in Ekiti and his co-contestants in the Saturday primaries.

The President said the party must work together in the state to ensure that the will of the people was not sub-verted.

He told the group that as he promised before, he will not interfere in the internal affairs of the party any level.

The President commended his minister of Solid Mineral Resources Kayode Fayemi for already reaching out to his co-contestants who lost out in the Saturday primaries
