C.Woermann Nigeria Limited says it will focus on the provision of quality trucks, automobile lubricants and spare parts for fleet buyers of heavy duty vehicles, among others as it marks its 50th anniversary.
The Managing Director of C.Woermann Nigeria, Mr Klaus Okunowski, gave the indication in Lagos on Thursday at a press briefing to mark the five decades of the company in Nigeria, where he revealed plans to go into the supply of agricultural equipment with the hope of expanding the sector for rapid economic development.
He spoke along with the company’s Director, Detlev Woermann, who noted that over the past five decades, the firm had always reinvested its gains in Nigeria by proving support for Nigerian businesses with world-class technical equipment and services.
Okunowski said, “We want to be number one supplier of quality trucks for fleet buyers in Nigeria; we want to focus on spare part supply as well as intelligent and professional products. We want to be part of Nigeria’s success story in the agric sector, having the right machinery for farmers and big firms in the agric sector. We are flexible and you need this flexibility to do well in Nigeria.”
He described the company’s 50 years in Nigeria as a major achievement made possible by its reliable international suppliers, loyal customers and dedicated employees.
He said, “As a company, we are proud to have achieved significant successes in Nigeria since 1968 even in the light of the several ups and downs in the economy. We have consistently provided Nigerian businesses and dealers with high quality technical equipment from reputable international equipment manufacturing companies across Europe, brands such as Stihl, Makita, Deutz, Liqui Moly, Mann Filters, Wood Mizer, and Fischer.
“We also have an after-sales service workshop that has been very supportive to our numerous customers, and also a training center where we train staff of our clients on how best to use our products.”
The Head, Automotive Department, C.Woermann Nigeria, Mr Dennis Kannan, assured that the company would continue to make relevant improvements, while providing solution-driven equipment and services for its clients.
