Onnoghen’s trial: FG filed charges before we concluded investigation – CCB official

A senior investigative officer at the Code of Conduct Bureau, CCB, Mr. James Akpala, on Monday, admitted that the charge against the suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Walter Onnoghen, was filed before his team concluded investigation on the allegation that he falsely declared his assets.

Lawyers ask Supreme Court to expedite hearing of appeals in FOI cases

Lawyers have called on the Supreme Court to expedite the hearing of the appeals arising from freedom of information cases that are presently pending before it in order to clear up the controversy over the applicability of the Act to public institutions at the State and Local Government levels and other constitutional issues.
