Nigeria’s oil output drops, as rig count rises

Nigeria’s rig count —  a standard yardstick used in measuring a nation’s activeness in exploration and production of crude oil and gas —  for the month of October, 2018 increased to 34 from 33 recorded in the previous month, data from the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries, OPEC, have showed.

Teenager, street sweeper arraigned over N1.7m jewellery theft

Lagos—A 16-year-old maid, and 56-year-old street sweeper, Shade Yusuf, have been arraigned before a Yaba Chief Magistrate’s Court, Lagos, for allegedly stealing assorted jewellery worth over N1. 7 million. The teenager and the street sweeper are facing a three-count charge of conspiracy, stealing and receiving stolen items, preferred against them by the police.
