Fashola replies SERAP: ‘I can’t find names of alleged corrupt contractors from our record’
The Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Fashola, SAN, has responded to the Freedom of Information request by Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, SERAP, saying that “the Ministry has searched for the requested information on details of alleged contractors and companies that collected money for electricity projects and failed to executive any projects, but we could not find it from our records.”

Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has filed a lawsuit asking the Federal High Court in Lagos to “stop the Senate President Bukola Saraki from paying former Plateau State governor, Senator Joshua Dariye N14.2 million monthly allowances while he serves out a 10-year prison sentence for corruption because such payment violates Nigerian law and international obligations.”
