Coolworld retail store has announced that it is introducing a new range of energy-saving Haier Thermocool refrigerators and other home appliances to the Nigerian market.
The firm stated in a statement on Thursday that this was done as part of its efforts to protect the environment, help in cutting down on power consumption and save Nigerian consumers money on electricity bills.
It said that the refrigerators had the ability to save up to 40 per cent on energy consumption while the Inverters, air conditioners and others could save up to 60 per cent.
The Marketing Director, Haier Thermocool PZ Limited, Mrs. Bukola Bandele, was quoted in the statement as saying that the desire to minimise electricity bills and save money as well as sustain a comfortable lifestyle had remained constant in the lives of Nigerians.
She said, “This is why we decided to take ownership of this energy saving conversation by championing the provision of quality energy saving home appliances on all models of our fridges and freezers to give everyone greater peace of mind, irrespective of the size purchased.
“The new products have no destructive effect to the ozone sphere; thereby preserving the environment for future generations. Since at least 40 per cent of global refrigeration now employs environmentally friendly refrigerants, we are delighted to be the leading organisation to employ this technology that reduces our carbon footprint by 97 per cent.”
