LAGOS—No fewer than two hundred and ninety new members have been admitted into the Information Technology, IT profession as practitioners in Nigeria by the Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria, CPN.
This is even as the Council while recognising the importance of IT as a veritable tool for national development and the need to create awareness on the potentialities of IT has set aside 31st March every year to be commemorated as the National IT Day in Nigeria.
The President/Chairman-in-Council of CPN, Professor Charles Uwadia while welcoming the inductees to the league of professionals in the IT industry at the just concluded 2018 CPN IT Professionals Assembly held in Abuja enjoined the new members to endeavour to imbibe the virtues of honesty and integrity in their professional dealings.
The annual CPN IT Professionals Assembly is a yearly gathering of Information Technology Professionals and Practitioners in Nigeria and Diaspora with the objective of discussing and strategizing on emerging issues in Information Technology and generating recommendations and decisions that impact positively on the industry and the nation.
