ASABA—FOLLOWING the windstorm which wreaked havoc at Emevor community, Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, the state government has said it will provide relief materials to the victims of the natural disaster.

Buildings in the community and property worth millions of naira were destroyed by the windstorm, which occurred on April 4, displacing scores of persons from their homes.

Structures at James Welsh Grammar School and over 50 electricity poles and economic trees were among property destroyed by the rainstorm.

During his visit to the community, the Commissioner, Bureau for Special Duties, Mr. Ernest Ogwizzy, reiterated the readiness of government to assists the victims, particularly those whose houses were destroyed.
