Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Chief Sunny Onuesoke has described as executive recklessness, the demolition of N800m building owned by gospel musician, Yinka Ayefele, by Oyo State government.

Onuesoke who shed tears during a visit to the site of the demolished structure at Ibadan, Oyo state wondered if Oyo State government was aware about the fact that the victim was not just popular, but physically challenged.

He argued that in developed countries, physically challenged people like Ayefele would be encouraged to grow further, but in Nigeria, the case is the reverse.

Onuesoke argued that if there was no sinister motive behind the demolition, the Oyo State government should have waited for the court hearing since there was already a court injunction to that effect.

According to him, “I suspect there was a political under tone behind this multi-million naira destruction.
