For Mavin Records songstress, Di’ja, life as a musician may not have really paid off but when she considered the joy of being a mother of two, coupled with having a supportive husband, nothing can be compared to it.

It is almost five years now since Don Jazzy signed the trio of Di’ja, Korede Bello and Reekado Banks to Mavin Records, while Bello and Banks seemed to have pushed their career to the next level with back-to-hit songs and endorsement deals, same cannot be said of Di’ja, whose career appeared to have nosedived.

Whereas she has managed to release a few songs that many have come to love, it is largely believed that the Awww singer has not only struggled to live up to fans’ expectations, her influence on the music scene has equally waned.

Days back, the Sowemo crooner, who is ploanning to stage her first live show in Lagos, took to Twitter to explain how she had to sacrifice her career to build her home.

Though, Di’ja did not say specifically the exact sacrifice she made, it is believed that the singer was responding to criticisms and public outcry that have continued to taint her career.

On  Twitter, Di’ja said she realised that life was all about making sacrifices, adding that after two kids with an amazing husband, friend, confidant, she realised that life was about sacrifice.

According to her, it is all about making sacrifice that comes with a purpose and respect. “God rewards His people. We just pray He gives us lobg life to see its beauty,” she added.

On what the people should epxect at the Lagos Concert, Di’ja said it would be an unforgettable experience.
