A two time governorship candidate in Ogun State, Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, has said that education and health care development will be the main focus of his administration, if elected to govern the state in 2019.

He noted that education remains the only key towards any meaningful development saying his administration would not pay lip service to it.

Isiaka lamented that the multi-billion naira model schools embarked upon by the present administration across the state had remained non-functioning, six years after the idea was conceived.

He said, “Education and health remain our priority. Education is important to us because it is a sure way to fast track meaningful development. We cannot afford to pay lip service to the provision of quality education in our gateway state.

“It is not enough to have model schools that are not functioning, we must instill in our teachers a sense of commitment to proper training of our wards.”

The governorship hopeful gave the assurance during the Ogun Central Senatorial Extended Executive meeting, held recently in Abeokuta, adding that his government would be youths-oriented.

At the meeting attended by well over 738 delegates, Isiaka as well reaffirmed his determination to run a welfarist people-centered government, just as he debunked insinuations that he might back down from the race.

“Life must be more abundant for our people in Ogun State from May 29, 2019, when I will be sworn in as the next governor of our dear state by the grace of God and support of Ogun State electorates.

“I am not backing down from my governorship aspiration. I am in this end to the end and I will win the election convincingly,” the governorship aspirant said.

In his remarks, Chief Joju Fadairo noted that Prince Isiaka remains the most marketable candidate in the governorship race, appealing to the The Believe Movement members to get their Permanent Voters Cards in readiness for the election.

He also urged them to resist the advances of politicians who are in the habit of “buying electoral support with money.”

“Vote for an Omoluabi, not a money bag,” he said.
