As Muslims all over the world celebrate the Eid Al-Adha holy festival, frontline philanthropist and politician, Dr. Chima Desmond Anyaso has called on all Muslims to live by the teachings of Islam, even as he charges Nigerians to eschew religious intolerance, love one another and live in harmony as a people.

He made the appeal at this year’s Eid Al-Adha Mubarak celebration in Bende, Abia State when he joined Muslims to mark the holy festival. The politician and businessman reminded Muslims that the festival of Eid Adha demands total sacrifice and obedience to the will of God as demonstrated by the story of Ibrahim’s obedience when Allah asked him to sacrifice his son Isma’il in order to demonstrate his total submission to Him.
He said “it brings great joy and I am delighted to join our Muslim brothers and sisters today in celebration of the holy festival of EID Al-Adha. I am humbled by the show of love, unity and faith. There is no doubt in my mind that we will continue to be united as a country regardless of religious or ethnic difference and that we will be able to advance the course of peace in our communities and in our nation”.
The ceremony had in attendance prominent members of the Muslim community and clerics in Abia state led by the Seriki Hausawa, Abia State, Seriki Alhaji Yaro Danladi who is the leader of the entire Muslims in the state. In his remarks, the Seriki called on all Muslims to live according to the expectations of Islam and ensure that they contribute towards the development of the communities where they live.
In his concluding remarks, Chima Anyaso, who is the leading aspirant for Bende Federal House of Representatives seat in 2019, expressed joy that he was well received by Muslim leaders and traditional rulers who acknowledged that he is the only politician from Bende, so far, to have devoted time to join them in celebration of Muslim festival. He said “while I feel delighted by this recognition, I am moved by the affection and love shown by the Muslim community towards my ambition to represent Bende come 2019. I encourage you all to go ahead to collect your PVCs here in Bende and endeavor to vote in Bende because I will ensure that your interests and welfare will be protected when I am elected”
Chima Anyaso was also honored by the Alayi Community Development Union, Women Wing at this year’s August Meeting where he promised to replicate his free school program all over Bende. He was recognized for his contributions to humanitarian service and investment in education.
