Kamarudeen Ogundele, Ado Ekiti

A former Ekiti governorship candidate of the Alliance for Democracy in 2014, Oluseyi Osekita, has announced his resignation from his party.

Osekita said he and his supporters were leaving the party for the All Progressives Congress because of “a not too inspiring leadership.”

He said they had resolved to join the APC’s candidate, Kayode Fayemi, in the struggle to liberate the state.

Osekita said he was motivated by the leadership quality of Fayemi, whom he contested against in 2014.

He said, “Fayemi is the best for Ekiti; he did well in the office and gave a free hand to his appointees.

“He was not a dictator and he executed legacy projects which are still there to speak for him.

“I’m leaving with all my supporters in the 16 local government areas to the APC to join in the struggle to liberate the people of the state.”
