Winners that emerged in the 5th draw of the Fidelity Bank Plc’s ‘Get Alert in Millions’ promo have been handed out their prizes in a presentation ceremony that took place at the bank’s head office in Lagos.
The promo, which started in August last year, is open to all Savings account customers of the bank, and seeks to empower them financially and help cushion the effect of the economic recession in the country. Already, N49 million cash prizes and 60 consolations prizes of fridges and generating sets have been given out.
Participation in the promo requires a prospective customer to open a savings account and grow it to N20,000, while an existing customer is required to top his account by N10,000 to qualify for the monthly draw to win up to N3 million. Qualification for the quarterly draws where star prize of N5 million could be won requires a customer to grow his account balance by N50,000 monthly.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, a customer of the bank from Egbeda branch, Chukwuebuka Andrew, who won generator, said he was surprised to have emerged one of the winners, saying that he never expected it.

“At the initial stage, when I was called by the bank to inform me about the winning, I thought it was a scam, but when I got here and discovered that it is true, I became very happy. I thank Fidelity Bank for the gift.” He urged people who are yet to open an account with with the bank to quickly do so, saying that they might be the next lucky winners.
Another customer, who won refrigerator, Charles Igwe, also expressed joy over the development, saying: “I was in my business area yesterday when they called to inform me that I have won a refrigerator. I did not believe it, but on getting here today, I was given my gift. I happy about this and I thank Fidelity Bank.”
In her address at the event, Mrs Janet Nnabuko, Promo Manager and Group Head, Savings, said: “We still have 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th draws. So, what we are saying is that we still have four more draws to go, to give out N56 million and a lot of consolation prizes of fridges and generators. What we are asking everybody is if you don’t have account with Fidelity Bank, just visit any of our branches and open a savings account to be part of the promo.”
She explained that success of the previous promos and positive feedback from customers has always encouraged the bank to come up with fresh and more refreshing promos.”At the conclusion of every promo, we try to get feedback from customers. Our customers, honestly, are very existed about our promos, because whatever we promise at the beginning, they see us availing all those gifts to the customers.
You recall we did Save for Shelter and so many of our customers won houses in Port-Harcourt, Abuja and even here in Lagos,” she added. Other winners in other five regions were also simultaneously presented with their prizes.
