In its quest to stabilise health sector in the country, Quickspace Health Place has opened a hospice to cater for the elderly and others with special needs.
At the unveiling of the centre in Lagos, stakeholders and other health sector practitioners said the initiative was commendable.
Speaking at the launch, Dr. Ropo Ojo, who lived in the United Kingdom for the past 30 years, where he practiced, informed that he had been nursing idea of establishing a centre offering such services in the past 10 years. “Finally, it’s now like a dream come true,” said an elated Ojo.
Quickspace Health Place, Dr. Ojo emphasised, is a pilot to develop good health services which is essential for the elderly. “We can actually package that and sell the idea to the government, we have many ideas we can share to the government that will make it comprehensive, cheaper and better to deliver.”
