Firm brings Automechanika fair to Lagos

Messe Frankfurt of Germany has announced plans to extend its automobile after-sales show, Automechanika, to Nigeria, with the country’s first exhibition fixed for Lagos this month.

The representative of Messe Frankfurt in Nigeria, Mrs. Omonigho Itoya-Abanokwu, said in a statement that the Automechanika Dubai team would be in Lagos with other foreign manufacturers of automobile spare parts and components to sensitise stakeholders to the next global event.

She also said foreign auto spare parts manufacturing companies would be sourcing Nigerian companies that it could go into distribution partnership with.

She listed the foreign companies expected in Lagos as AC Delco, a full line of premium auto parts manufacturer, including a variety of nearly every make and model); mineral circles bearings, a reliable and much-trusted bearing distributor and supplier of premium bearings).

The event fixed for November 22, 2017, according to the statement, will feature guest speakers such as the immediate past Director, Policy and Planning, National Automotive Design and Development, Mr. Luqmann Mamudu; the Secretary General, Auto Spare Parts & Machinery Dealers Association, Mr. Nnamdi Ebeku; the President, Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders, Mr. Uche Increase; and the Chairman, Motor Vehicle and Miscellaneous Assemblies, Sectoral Group of Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, Dr. D.V.C. Obi.

“Automechanika brand holds 17 events in 15 countries across the globe.  The next Automechanika Dubai will offer trade professionals the chance to meet face-to-face with 1,955 key exhibitors across the three days from May 1 – 3, 2018.

“Automechanika Dubai serves some of largest automotive markets such as Saudi Arabia, Nigeria and Iran.”
