ABUJA—Chairman of a security firm, Darlon Security and Guards, an oil and gas taskforce, Hon. Levi Wilson, yesterday, reacted to criminal allegations levied by the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, through a motion sponsored by member representing Sagbama Constituency 2, Hon Bernard Kenibai.

At a press briefing in Abuja, yesterday, Wilson emphasized that the company’s personnel do not bear arms nor intimidate the public with the military task force it works with as alleged by Hon Kenibai.

According to him, the allegations by the state House of Assembly was frivolous, unfounded, disgusting, self-seeking and politically motivated with a view to drag to the mud the selfless and result-oriented activity of the company.

He said: “Following allegations levelled against my company, Darlon Security and Guards, by Hon Bernard Kenibai, the Bayelsa State House of Assembly has invited my company to appear before it over bearing of firearms and use of military task force to intimidate members of the public.

“I want to state clearly here that personnel of Darlon Security and Guards does not bear arms, rather works with conventional security operatives like Joint Task Force, JTF, Nigerian Navy, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigeria Police Force and well as Department of State Security who play direct role in all activities of the company.”
