A human resources consulting and business services firm, Workforce Group, has reaffirmed its commitment to helping companies connect to graduates and other job seekers with the introduction of Top Talent platform.
According to a statement on Thursday, the Head of Selection and Recruitment at Workforce Group, Mr. Akin Afolabi, the Top Talent is a stellar initiative designed to connect top employers with a pre-screened, highly filtered pool of employment-ready top candidates.
He also said the organisation organised a top talent graduate trainees’ job fair to enable companies to close the gap between the roles available within the industries and the availability of the manpower to fill those roles suitably.
The job fair, which held at the Zone Centre in Lagos, last Saturday, was a culmination of a six-week long process spanning multiple assessment tests of key competencies for workplace success: intelligence, character and purpose, confidence and effectiveness, teamwork and problem solving, leadership and communication and their drive for results.
Afolabi explained that the success of the initiative was significant to the growth and sustainability across multiple industries and business concern in the country.
He said, “The Top Talent League of Extraordinary Graduate Trainees is our unique solution built to close that gap by helping top employers attract and hire the top five per cent of candidates for their graduate trainee job roles. Candidates with the required potential and competence for upward progression (thrive) in the workplace.
“Employers were delighted to have experienced what they described as a job fair with a difference. Employers had positive comments about the level of interaction they had with the candidates and the quality of the candidates on display – a result of the unique assessment process deployed by the workforce group in selecting qualified candidates for the job fair.”
The statement also said over 15 leading companies such as Nestle, Larfarge, GTBank, Sterling Bank, Nestoil, UACN and Cadbury were present at the event with branded stalls and leading HR representatives engaging candidates extensively.
