Reactions have continued to trail today’s drama which has kept unfolding, with the ‘protagonists’ and ‘antagonist’ being the lawmakers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the now sacked Director-General of the Department of States Services, DSS, Mr. Lawal Daura respectively.
Sacked Director-General of Department of State Service, DSS, Mr Lawal Daura
While the lawmakers who were earlier on denied access to their chambers by operatives of the DSS have long gained entrance into the NASS complexes, the DSS operatives have withdrawn from the premises while their boss, Daura has caught a sledge hammer of termination of his appointment by the Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo.
Daura is currently, as reported, being detained at the headquarters of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) after he was arrested.
Moreover, many Nigerians have taken to the various media outlets, especially the micro-blogging site, Twitter, to voice their views concerning the turn of events in the country today.
Below are their tweets:
I may just decide to stay back in this country ooo after what l just read that @ProfOsinbajo did by sacking Lawal Daura. So we still have a tiny bit of sanity and sanctity left in this country.

Next time the cabal sends you on an errand you will remember the Legend of Lawal Daura and do a double think before executing their illegal orders.

Osinbanjo sacks Lawal Daura. That is how you run a country. Someone steps out of line and insult our collective sensitivity, you fire his ass out and put the fear of God on others

Dear Acting President Osinbajo,
After sacking DSS boss, Lawal Daura, do not forget to revisit Finance Minister, Kemi Adeosun’s case before Buhari returns.

Lawal Daura, DG DSS, merely offered himself as a sacrifice to save Buhari’s face. The guy still has his job. @OfficialAPCNg should write a better script.
We are wiser now!

Now that Lawal Daura has been sacked, can they disclose who gave the “orders from above”? The dude was just sacrificed to calm the storm.

Nigerians really have to understand that the sacking of DG DSS, Lawal Daura, is just another big move in this game of chess.
Just to gain public sympathy from gullible Nigerians, they will still sack IGP Idris before 2019 so y’all can forget their atrocities and blame the pawns.— Otunba Thanos🇳🇬 (@_shegz_) 7 August 2018
The news that @ProfOsinbajo sacked Lawal Daura is funny not because he was sacked but because it was only used to save face. There’s no how on mother earth that Daura would have used the DSS like that without the authorisation of the sick @MBuhari, make we no lie jare
— Mr Shewn Lawal (@shewn007) 7 August 2018
Buhari wouldn’t have sack Lawal Daura for blocking nass today, IGP disobeyed his order and nothing happened. Vice/Acting President Osinbajo wouldn’t settle for that.

What if Akpabio already revealed some well kept secret to Osinbajo when they met 3 days ago re Lawal Daura and, Mesu and the Gang?
