Residents of Gbagada community in Lagos State have expressed their desire to work more closely with the Deeper Life Bible Church in developing the area.
Speaking after the church inaugurated a new bridge, traffic light and multi-layered car park to further ease traffic in the community, residents, while lauding the initiative at a meeting organised to discuss issues affecting Gbagada and environs, said that they would do their best to complement Deeper Life’s drive in improving infrastructure in the area.
A community leader in the locality, Mr. Deji Adegbite, while stating that the bridge built by the church would make life easier for the residents, expressed optimism that it was also going to impact positively on the economy of the area.
A shop owner, Mrs. Remilekun Bamgboye, while also commending the church for its infrastructural intervention, said that doing business in the area had become easier as a result of the improved traffic situation.
Commending Deeper Life for its developmental strides in Gbagada, the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, who was represented by the Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Mr. Wale Oluwo, said that the administration would continue to partner all well-meaning organisations in the area to further improve the quality of infrastructure.
While thanking the Lagos State Government for the support it rendered on the various stages of the project, the General Superintendent of the church, Pastor Williams Kumuyi, said that as an integral part of the Gbagada community, Deeper Life would continue to do all within its power to make the environment better.
