The Ikenga Development Union has commended the Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano, for developing the state, saying his re-election will help the state.
A former president of the Lagos chapter of the union Nze Ikechukwu Anako, who gave the commendation on behalf of the group, said, “We have no doubt in our minds that his second tenure will move the state to greater heights.”
Anako, who is an aspirant in the state House of Assembly in the 2019 election under the All Progressive Grand Alliance, said the governor’s victory at the November 18, 2017 governorship election was “a proof and validation of the confidence and trust the people have in him.”
Anako spoke just as the President Emeritus of the union, Lagos Branch, Ikechukwu Anako, demanded “the dividends of democracy in the community, particularly the construction of access roads.”
He said, “We remind his Excellency about IDU’s access roads demand in their community.
“The roads, if constructed, will add economic value to Anambra State,” he said.
