The General Overseer of the God First Ministries Inc., Bishop Isaac Idahosa, has condemned the activities of armed herdsmen and other bandits that have been making life unbearable for Nigerians, saying if steps are not taken to stop the menace, it will pose a threat to food security.
Idahosa said that the way the Federal Government had been handling herdsmen/ farmers’ clashes would result to something else if the situation was not brought under control.
Speaking in Minna on Saturday as part of activities to mark the 29th Anniversary of the ministry, Idahosa described a situation where people were being chased away from their ancestral homes by bandits at the peak of the planting season as unacceptable.
He said, “The most annoying thing is that the government seems to be doing little or nothing to arrest and prosecute the killer herdsmen.”
