I’ll attract federal presence to Isoko land — Othihiwa

AS the 2019 general election draws near, House of Representatives aspirant of the Isoko Federal constituency on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Sir Ayodele Othihiwa has promised to attract federal presence to the lsoko nation if elected.

Speaking at Oleh, Isoko South Local Government Area, Delta State when he paid a consultation visit to the palace of the Odiologbo of Oleh Kingdom, HRM Ovrawah Omogha I, Othihiwa, a renowned economist and risk management expert lamented that the Isoko nation was in dire need of federal presence.

Othihiwa who is Partner and Head Financial Services at KPMG Nigeria, said his decision to run for the position stemmed from his desire to attract development to the Isoko nation. Reiterating his determination “to ensure that Isoko’s agricultural potential is fully harnessed through mechanized farming”, he assured that he would engage in robust legislative activities on issues of agriculture, education, health and other matters that are people-oriented to add value to the lives of the people. Stressing the need for all Deltans to give their unflinching support to the SMART agenda of the state governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, he said it was absolutely necessary for the people to work towards Okowa’s victory in the 2019 polls to enable him continue with the good works he had been doing in the state.

Responding, the traditional ruler lauded Othihiwa’s track records and contributions to the development of Isoko land.
