The first set of Nigerian pilgrims airlifted back to Nigeria have landed safely at the Abuja airport.
Flynas Flight XY7744 which departed King Abdulaziz International Airport Jeddah at about 7:40am Saudi time (5:40am Nigerian Time) landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja at about 10:30am Nigerian time.
The flight carried 225 pilgrims from the Federal Capital Territory and one official.
Also, Flynas flight XY7738 which departed Jeddah airport at about 09:40am Saudi time carrying 259 pilgrims from Sokoto, is expected to land at Sultan Abubakar International Airport, Sokoto at about 1pm Nigerian time.
Another batch of about 446 pilgrims from Kogi state who were the first to be airlifted to Saudi Arabia for this year’s Hajj exercise are also on their way to Abuja aboard Max Airline.
