Security has been beefed up at the premises of the National Assembly, on Wednesday.
There was as an unusual presence of some armed Soldiers manning strategic positions at the National Assembly.
Before Wednesday, it is usually men of the Nigeria Police, the Civil Defence, as well as the National Assembly Security, Sergeant-at-Arms, that were deployed around the promises.
However, the presence of armed Soldiers on Wednesday, numbering about 10, appeared to be unusual.
Two armed Soldiers were seen manning one of the entrance gates, while one each was placed at the car parks of both Senate President, Bukola Saraki, and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara.
Others were spread across different locations of the National Assembly.
It was also observed that the number of Policemen has been increased at the National Assembly premises.
