Kano varsity to award first class degrees to 39 graduates

Shehu Alhaji Musa, vice chancellor of Kano University of Science and Technology (KUST), has said the institution produced 39 first class degree holders in the 2015/2016 session.

Musa, in a pre-convocation press briefing, said the 4th convocation of the institution will combine three sets, totaling 3,212 graduates across the 27 programs of the university.

The first class graduates will be unveiled at the ceremony on Saturday, February 4.

The vice chancellor said all the 27 courses in the university had gotten full accreditation from the National University Commission (NUC).

He also made it public knowledge that the university will soon commence its doctorate program in agro-economics, geography, physics, chemistry, and biology.

Jess Lowenberg-Debour, professor of agro-economics from the US, will be delivering the pre-convocation lecture with the theme “Skipping the Steps in the Transformation of Nigerian Agriculture”.
