The Managing Director, Linkage Assurance Plc, Dr. Pius Apere, has said that the firm will strengthen its relationship with insurance brokers to grow its market share.

He said this during the members’ evening event of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers in Lagos.

“Coming to work with brokers more closely is in line with our vision to increase visibility, deepen penetration and provide insurance to every nook and cranny of the country,” he said.

According to Apere, the insurance sector is the backbone of any economy; and that without insurance, no economy can grow because the sector helps other businesses to survive, particularly in a period of economic recession.

“Without insurance, many businesses will die in this recession; that means we have a role to play by ensuring that we help businesses remain on the path of growth and sustainability,” he said.

The Linkage boss stated that the company recently introduced seven new products targeted at low income people, to enable them to manage their risks and enhance their standard of living.

While noting that there was economic recession, he said the products considered the plight of ordinary citizens, by making them affordable, with a lot of benefits for individual and small businesses.

Apere thanked the brokers for their patronage in the past, and urged them to support the company to have a beneficial journey in 2017 and years ahead.

Some of the products recently introduced by the company are Linkage Purple Motor Plus; Linkage Third Party Plus; Linkage Shop Insurance; Linkage Event Insurance; Linkage Estate Insurance and Linkage SME Comprehensive.
