When you talk about fast rising comedians in Nigeria, the Name MC Walters readily comes to mind.
MC Walters Ogbe, is a dynamic personality who for long has been making waves in the Nigerian entertainment industry.

Walters who hails from Kogi state and has been mentoring other entertainers for over 19 years has organised huge events that attracted big entertainers to his home state, Kogi.
In a recent chat with Vanguard, Walters revealed that he started his career almost two decades ago.
According to him, “I started from Markurdi, Benue state, where I won the best entertainer in 2007. Though, I come from Kogi state, over there in Benue I did a lot of exploit.
In Kogi State University, Anyigba where I had my higher education, I handled most of the shows there. In 2013. I won the best comedian in KSU.
Also, Globalcom Nigeria honoured me by coming to my state four times in 2015, which saw a lot of Nigerian entertainers come to perform at the Glo tour. In 2017, the same happened, when Globacom made a two time show in Anyigba and two in my state capital, Lokoja in honour of me, which has never happened before. I have been honoured severally by the wife of the state governor, Mrs. Rasheedat Bello. In fact, I am the MC in any ceremony organised by the first Lady.
‘’ I made the first comedy series in Kogi state, titled WALTERS THE STUPID HOUSE BOY’. I have made the fourth episode. I also organised the first Christmas fiesta in my hometown, Ankpa, and I have 6 entertainers whom I am mentoring presently. My dream has always been to raise entertainer from the grassroots.”
On the challenges faced as an entertainer coming from a Kogi, “MC Walters said his biggest problem has been with those he describe as hijackers, who always divert funds released by the Kogi state government for entertainment to their personal use.
Talking of his plans for the Kogi state entertainment industry being a major stakeholder, Walters said his intention is to create a recording studio in all 21 LGA of of the state through the support of the Kogi state government and to ensure that all entertainers in the state are duly registered. The registration is to ensure easy identification, avoid police harrassment and reduce the rate of indecency in entertainment.
“’ I want to push the Kogi entertainment industry to the world. There are lots of neglected talents in the state.
”Finally I will ensure that entertainers in Kogi state get their PVC’s and participate in the upcoming general elections. We must participate fully in the forth coming elections he added.
In his form of appreciation, he applauded the Kogi state government of Governor Yahaya Bello, for his continuos support towards the Kogi state entertainment industry.
