Michelin, dealers discuss market trends

Michelin Tyre Services Nigeria and its dealers across the country have met in Lagos to discuss market trends/developments as part of measures to ensure quality products/services for their customers as well as boost sales.

The firm also promised to continue to build on its mutually beneficial relationship with its dealers nationwide in order to ensure its quality tyres get to motorists in every part of the country.

It said it recently hosted its leading dealers from different parts of the country to a business retreat at its Lagos office with a dinner outside the office, in furtherance of this relationship.

It said during the retreat, dealers had the opportunity of listening to presentations by the Sales/Marketing Director of Michelin Nigeria, Mr. Kayode Sangotayo, who talked on new trends in tyre marketing.

Top Michelin officials were also on hand to interact with the dealers who said they were delighted about Michelin offering them the platform to get feedback and discuss market trends and new developments in the industry.

According to Sangotayo, the retreat is meant for Michelin business associates, who are Michelin partners in progress, adding, “We appreciate them every year to give them our heart-felt appreciation of their performances; we bring them together in order for them to have a sense of belonging.

“Because we appreciate and hold our dealers in high esteem, we ensure that they are given their bonuses every year; and we reward them by way of exposure to different countries. This we have been doing over the years”.

The statement said the retreat witnessed the re-emergence of Mr. I.K Ijezie as the new president of the Michelin Business Associates.

The Chairman of Sanok Enterprises Limited, Mr. Okafor Solomon, was said to have commended the management of Michelin for ensuring a smooth business relationship with its dealers.

Beyond making available a wide range of quality tyres, the company promised to continue to offer valuable after-sales services in its tyre service centres along with the mobile technical services vans across the country.
