Super Eagles and Leicester City striker, Ahmed Musa has expressed regret over the dismissal of  his manager, Claudio Ranieri.
Following a string of poor results in domestic competitions, the Premier League champions  Thursday night showed  Ranieri the exit door  nine months after he guided the Foxes to their first league title since the formation of the club.
Musa , took to his Instagram page to lament the exit of the  Italian coach whom he said gave him the opportunity to be part of the Leicester family and wished him well in his future endeavors.
“So sad to see you go. I am glad to have worked under such a great manager like you, ” Musa posted on Instagram.
“Thank you for the opportunity you gave me!! I wish you all the best in the future. May God bless you!.”
Ranieri was among the Leicester City higher-ups that sanctioned the acquisition of Musa from CSKA Moscow last summer.
He led Leicester City to an astonishing Premier League title triumph last season. 298 days later, he was sacked as manager with the club deep in relegation trouble.
The club’s Thai owners appeared to back their manager earlier this month when they insisted his position at the club was secure. He was given their ‘unwavering support’.
But after a Champions League defeat in Seville followed six Premier League games without scoring, Ranieri was summoned to the King Power Stadium. There, Leicester confirmed the brutal call to part company.
