Nigeria’s female national team, Super Falcons are set to face Spain in an international friendly game next month.
According to Today.ng, the match is to take place between April 2nd and 9th, however, the venue hasn’t been revealed yet.
The Super Falcons have been very busy lately in preparation for the Women’s World Cup in France, having competed in the invitation tour of Cyprus and China.
In a related development, Super Falcons forward Francisca Ordega has completed her move to Chinese Super League side, Shanghai Shenhua after four years at United States’ National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) campaigners Washington Spirit.
The 24-year-old Nigeria international becomes the latest African to take her trade to the Chinese Women’s league after South Africa’s pair Thembi Kgatlana and Linda Motlhalo also sealed moves to the Asian country.
Ordega made 63 appearances in a four-year spell with the United States’ National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) side Washington before she discloses her new adventure and the deal in her Instagram handle.
Ordega who was the runner up in 2019 Africa Women’s Footballer of the Year award played a vital role for Super Falcons clinch their ninth Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
She is expected to be part of Thomas Dennerby’s team to the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup, which will be held later this year.
