As part of its contribution to nation building, the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) is set to address governance issues affecting implementation of economic policies.

A statement by the Registrar/Chief Executive of the institute, Mr. Tony Fadaka, said the 2017 Management Lecture Series to be held in Lagos on Tuesday provided a platform to proffer viable solutions to ineffective governance in the country.

Fadaka said the lecture themed, ‘Overcoming the knowing-doing gap: Filling the void between economic policy formulation and implementation’, would be delivered by the Director-General, West African Institute for Financial and Economic Management, Prof. Akpan Ekpo, who is also a former Vice-Chancellor, University of Uyo.

The NIM registrar said that the theme of the lecture was chosen because “more than ever in the history of its existence, Nigeria needs urgent solutions to the many governance challenges besetting it, which are threatening the nation’s march towards economic greatness.”
