THE leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has appeared in Jerusalem.
In a press statement by the Media and Publicity Secretary of the group, Emma Powerful, confirmed that its leader was in Jerusalem at the wailing wall where he joined Islamic faithful to offer prayers.
The group, however, kept mum on where Kanu resurfaced from or where he was headed after the prayers.
Kanu has been missing since September 14, 2017, when some soldiers invaded his house in Afara Ukwu in Umuahia, Abia State.
IPOB has since then accused the Nigerian Military of whisking their leader and his parents away, urging them to ensure their release speedily.
There has severally been news of the IPOB leader being seen in Ghana and United Kingdom disguised at some point.
The release announcing the resurfacing of Kanu stated that: “Fellow Biafrans, friends of Biafra, enemies of Biafra, men and women of goodwill and of good conscience across the world, we wish to reliably inform you that The Supreme Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu prayed today at the Wailing Wall in the Holy City of David in Jerusalem Live on Facebook today, 19th October 2018.
“Biafrans be resolute, this is the beginning of the struggle for Biafra’s independence. We thank God Almighty God for his protection and safety.”
